Based on science-fiction writer Tsutsui Yasutaka's masterpiece of the same name, this was made in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of his works. This experimental film utilizes animation and 8 millimeter film to represent the heroine's special ability to read people's minds. Hita Nanase (Ashina Sei) is telepathic and made to live a lonely, isolated life because of her special ability. Targeted by a mysterious sniper one day, she becomes aware of the existence of a large organization set on eliminating people with special abilities.
