[ Story ]
Kono Kuriko (Kimura Yoshino), who works at a publishing company in Tokyo, goes back to her hometown to inform everyone of her marriage to cameraman Mitsuo (Murakami Jun). Her father, Shuzo (Osugi Ren) and her mother, Yasuko (Otani Naoko) live on the small island of Senoshima, located in the Seto Inland Sea. The beauty of the island's nature brings her back to the past. Kuriko departs on a small trip with her childhood friend Kenta to look for her first love, Takashi. Touring her memorial places after thirteen years leads to a surprising conclusion-Takashi has passed away. Kuriko starts asking herself if she's the only one who can marry and have a happy life. She leaves the island with Mitsuo, who comes to pick her up as her father quietly sees her off.
Shot entirely on location in Ehime Prefecture by director Isomura, who also filmed the highly-acclaimed Give It All There.
