[ Story ]
An animated feature film based on Inumura Koroku's light novel, which has previously inspired radio drama and manga adaptations. A prodigiously talented young pilot embarks on a 12,000-kilometer flight to single-handedly protect a future empress. Animation production company Madhouse depicts a world shaken by an east-west battle for supremacy between two modern nations with thrilling scenes of aerial combat. Knight of the sky Charles (voice: Kamiki Ryunosuke) is given a top-secret mission: deliver empress-in-waiting Fana (voice: Taketomi Seika) to her fiance in a reconnaissance seaplane.
