[ Story ]

The second film from the "Kitashirakawa-ha Eiga Geijutsu Undo" (Kitashirakawa-group film art movement), a series of co-productions between professionals and students based at the Kyoko University of Arts and Design Department of Film Production. Director Takahashi Banmei helms a cast and crew of students in this depiction of a family's collapse, filled with black humor. The Sugitas are a family of three, comprised of a father who drowns himself in drink after his mother's death, a mother who never smiles in front of the other family members, and their daughter Hinako (Onishi Ayaka) who has no interest in anything at all. When the mother leaves home, their strained relations reach their peak, which eventually leads Hinako to pick up a chainsaw.
