[ Story ]

Live-action adaptation of Koyama Chuya's scifi comic, on the heels of the TV anime version. Brothers who have been enchanted by the starry skies since childhood pursue their dreams of becoming astronauts, each at his own pace. The film earned 1.5 billion yen at the box office with its authentic images, including an appearance by Buzz Aldrin, one of the first human beings to walk on the moon.
The year is 2025. Hibito (Okada Masaki) has become an astronaut, while his older brother Mutta (Oguri Shun) loses his job over a violent incident. Mutta despairs, but is surprised to learn that he passed the preliminary screening for the selection examination to become an astronaut.
