[ Story ]
An animated adaptation of Naoki Prize-winning author Sakuraba Kazuki's period fantasy novel "Fuse: Gansaku Satomi Hakkenden." Its director is Miyaji Masayuki, who worked as an assistant on {Spirited Away}. Beautiful pastel-colored visuals trace the relationship between a young woman and supernatural beings.
Hamaji (voice: Kotobuki Minako), a young woman who skillfully wields a shotgun, travels to Edo after the death of her grandfather. There, she hears a rampant rumor of half-human, half-canine creatures called "fuse." Hamaji sets out to hunt them at the request of her older brother, but a series of encounters leads her to develop a mutual understanding with them.
