This documentary by Sakai Atsuko, who made her directorial debut with Taiwanjinsei, follows the footsteps of Taiwan-born architect Kaku Morin.
1968 marked the birth of the Kasumigaseki Building, Japan's first building to exceed 100 meters. Construction team leader Kaku overcame numerous difficulties, and went on to build many of Japan's well-known high-rise buildings. This documentary captures Kaku at the end of his life as he returns to his birthplace of Taiwan in the fall of 2010, and depicts the achievements of this great architect, along with his humanity that captivated so many people.
