The third and final film in a trilogy which includes Taiwanjinesei and Memories of Taiwan. The director is Sakai Atsuko, who has used this series to focus on Taiwan under Japanese rule and the people who have lived there afterward.
Taiwan's unspoiled landscape breathtakingly still exists in Taitung province. The lifestyle of the people who live there revolves around "prayer", "gratitude toward life", and "family". Though the times may change, the camera captures "timeless Taiwan" and the people who have lived through toil on Taiwan's land and sea.
