The first film produced by Anime Mirai, an Agency for Cultural Affairs project that cultivates animators who represent the future of Japan's animation studios. This science fiction suspense drama was made by production studio ZEXCS, known for their work on Aku no Hana (Flowers of Evil) which drew attention for its use of rotoscoping throughout the animation process.
It is an age when nanomachines that imitate human nerve cells make it possible for people to link their consciousnesses to a network. However, this system is fraught with danger, and it eventually causes a catastrophe called the "Early Rapture."
