An action film based on the eponymous manga written by Kajiwara Ikki and drawn by Tsuji Naoki that gained popularity after being adapted into an animated television series. Up-and-coming director Ochiai Ken delivers this origin tale of the hero Tiger Mask, who fights for those he loves.
Lifelong loner Date Naoto (Wentz Eiji) is discovered by Mr. X (Aikawa Sho) and undergoes rigorous special training to become a mighty warrior. He takes on the persona of "Tiger Mask" and enters an underground fighting tournament that runs on dirty money. Then one day he is reunited with Ruriko (Natsuna), a childhood friend from their time at an orphanage.
