The sixth in a seven-part series of completely original live-action films continuing the "Patlabor" saga, a multimedia property created in the 1980s. As rumors fly that Special Vehicle Section 2 will be shut down, a powerful military Labor robot appears. Oshii Mamoru, the helmer of the original animated series, acts as general director and scriptwriter.
This chapter is comprised of two parts: "Episode 10: Red Labor on the Rampage", in which Akira (Mano Erina) and Yuma (Fukushi Seiji) encounter a Labor from the former Soviet Union; and "Episode 9: The Long Goodbye", in which Akira goes to a class reunion and confronts her past.
