Feature film version of the grandiose robot action title THE NEXT GENERATION PATLABOR with script and direction by Oshii Mamoru. The film magnificently depicts the battles between the police Patlabor robots and a terrorist organization in Tokyo at the end of the 20th century.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Special Vehicle Section 2 has humanoid robots called Patlabors. One day, a fully armed terrorist organization rises up and steals the military's most advanced battlefront helicopter. In response, Section 2 ends their hiatus of recent years and returns to action.
