This is the 25th anniversary film of televised anime "Chibi Maruko chan". For the first time in the series' history, the setting moves from Shimizu City as the well-known characters travel around Osaka and Kyoto. The script was written by the original manga author, Sakura Momoko.
Six children from different countries around the world will arrive in the neighborhood and Maruko's (voice: TARAKO) home is to host a young Italian boy. They spend fun-filled days together as the six children take part in Maruko's class at school as well as travelling to Osaka and Kyoto along with everyone. But even among such enjoyable days comes the time to say goodbye.
