[ Story ]

The Night time Picnic director Nagasawa Masahiko and Adachi Shin, screenwriter of 100 YEN LOVE, adapt to film an original story idea submitted in a general call-for-entries by the city of Kudamatsu in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Using a strange festival passed down through generations in Kudamatsu City as a motif, the film depicts with picturesque beauty the romantic affairs of awkward adults.
Railroad vehicle welder Akio (Ito Yozaburo) is attracted to Sakiko (Okada Nana) who works in the company cafeteria. Akio, Sakiko, and Akio's deceased wife, however, each have a shared secret related to the "Kitsune no Yomeiri" ("wedding of the fox") procession held every year in Kudamatsu City during the rice harvest festival.
