One film from the "2016 ndcj: New Directions in Japanese Cinema" project which aims to revitalize Japanese cinema by discovering and cultivating the next generation of young directors. It is directed by Yoshino Mamoru, who served as an assistant director under many directors.
Crimes targeting the aged are never ending in today's society of increasing senior citizens. (Mine Rantaro) is a single senior quietly living out his days, but one day he happens upon a robber and fights him off. Gaining confidence in his ability to still be useful, he begins patrolling the city at night to right wrongs.
