[ Story ]

Shingo and Ritsuko can have no children and so decide upon a child by artificial insemination. Little Takashi is born, but this does not help relations between the parents, but rather worsens them.
Now, an acquaintance, Sakaguchi, a gynecologist, visits them more frequently. Once working under Shingo, he later married an heiress, Shina, and became the head of a large hospital. He too is having problems with his wife.
Then one day, little Takashi is missing. It is found that Sakaguchi's wife has taken him, claiming him for her child. And the secret is out - Sakaguchi was the donor, and is the real father of the boy.
This has an odd effect on Ritsuko, who begins to feel passion for the father of her child and eventually spends the night with him. In the meantime, Sakaguchi's wife sets out to seduce Shingo. But the next morning he goes to see his wife and the father of his boy.
The child, says Shingo, is his, and he will have him. Reluctantly, Sakaguchi leaves, and then Ritsuko, Shingo, and Takashi set out to make a better life for themselves.
