[ Story ]
Film adaptation of a story about a passionate encounter and love written by Shimao Toshio, author of the personal novel "The Sting of Death", and Shimao Miho. Directed by Koshikawa Michio of Areno - The Wilderness.
The year is 1944 at the tail end of the Pacific War. Ohira Toe (Mitsushima Hikari) works as a teacher at the Japanese school on Kagero Island, where she meets the newly dispatched naval captain Saku (Nagayama Kento). They take an interest in each other and have repeated clandestine meetings, but enemy attacks steadily grow stronger and Okinawa falls. Saku will soon be sent on a mission.
