First film in the two-part theatrical adaptation of "Free!", the popular TV anime series about young people who devote their lives to swimming. Directed, developed and scripted by Kawanami Eisaku, who helmed the third season of the TV anime.
Nanase Haruka (Shimazaki Nobunaga) is a brilliant swimmer with international ambitions and heads once again for Sydney, his dream destination. There he will compete against Albert Volandel, the unrivaled champion. He boosts his morale for the competition with cherished thoughts about the teammates who have swum along side him.
