Concluding film in the two-part theatrical adaptation of "Free!", the popular TV anime series about young people who devote their lives to swimming. Directed, developed and scripted by Kawanami Eisaku, who helmed the third season of the TV anime.
Nanase Haruka's (Shimazaki Nobunaga) first international competition leaves him hostage to the swimming of champion Albert Volandel. Haruka flounders as he confronts the meaning of swimming and his relationship to the water, and he ultimately decides to pursue a grueling training regimen and throws himself single-mindedly into practice.
