First film from Morii Yusuke, who also penned the screenplay based on Akutagawa Prize-winning author Imamura Natsuko's 2010 debut novel.
Amiko (Osawa Kana) is a vivacious fifth-grader in Hiroshima who grows up under the protective gaze of her kind father (Iura Arata) and her pregnant mother (Ono Machiko), who teaches calligraphy, and her school crush Nori. But her guileless behavior inevitably impacts those around her.
